I was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. I love this city because quite simply it’s my home. I have so many memories here with friends and family so it’s just a big part of who I am. With that said I do have a love for travel. My parents took myself along with my two brothers to India every couple years to visit relatives as kids. It opened my eyes to a completely different world and culture.
Ever since those travels to the east I couldn’t get enough with traveling and exploring. My recent trip was to Central America with a group of 10 friends and we traveled coast to coast in a van exploring Costa Rica. Our next trip is to Thailand which can’t come soon enough. Jumping in waterfalls and climbing mountains is where I want to be when I’m not at home.
My other travel goal is to surprise my mom by booking a family vacation to Italy for us. She has a huge fascination with Italy for some reason and I think it’s because she might of been Italian in her previous life haha.
I also have a huge love for sports. In my spare time I play ice hockey usually once or twice a week and if I had one dream growing up it was to make it big! lol
I’m a big Jet’s fan and love watching football with my friends over a few beers. I guess you can say I’m just a regular Canadian guy.
I’m a bit of an entrepreneur as well. I started a commercial cleaning company almost 10 years ago that I still own and operate. I have some awesome staff that care of the business while I focus on my passion of photography. I love owning a business and couldn’t imagine working for someone again. It just wasn’t for me.
I wish I could say I found photography early in my life but that wasn’t the case. Although I photographed our camping trips on some old film cameras as a kid I didn’t do much photography until my late 20’s (I’m in my 30’s now : p) I took my camera to my friends wedding some time ago and it was a beautiful Manitoba summer wedding that took place out in the country with an epic tent reception. The tears, the joy, and the stories that came out of it were just amazing. The whole day was really inspiring and I knew right away that I wanted to do this. I’m drawn to emotion and I love photographing people so it was really a no brainer for me.
My ideal couples are care free who just want to enjoy their day with their friends and family giving me the freedom to be as creative as I can be.
I love the challenge of photography. The art of it and the people I meet through it. I’ve made so many new friends and it’s taken me to so many places I would have never gone before.
I can’t wait to find out where it takes me next or who I’ll meet.
It’s an adventure.
