A destination photographer is something I’m inspiring to be more and more every year by shooting weddings and elopements around the world but this was personal trip with friends and my first trip to Cuba. I’ve been to Mexico and Jamaica and most recently Costa Rica so Cuba was something different.
I didn’t have any expectations of Cuba other then the food was going to be terrible. However I was pleasantly surprised with our resort food to say the least. It wasn’t over the top amazing but it was not cringe worthy or anything. With some proper sauces that were provided the food was good and no one at our resort was sick at all. With that said there were rumours of a few people getting sick with a resort just down the beach from us which was cheaper and more of a party resort so buyer beware.
We stayed in Varadero at the Be Live Experience Varadero and it was a quite resort with a relaxed crowd of couples and older folks so we didn’t expect to party much here. Except on Fridays which was an absolute gong show at the local disco in our resort where all the locals came to party.
As I said this was more of a personal trip where we relaxed and just enjoyed it but I wish I had more time with my camera. I’m still happy with some of the beautiful images I was able to capture when we had the chance. Thanks to Tony and Alisha who are two good friends of mine and very much in love for stepping in front of my camera when I needed them to. I’ve been very lucky to photograph in multiple countries now adding to my destination photographer experience which is nice when you live in cold Winnipeg.
I would love to be your destination photographer capturing your love story in a beautiful, romantic and charming location. If you love to travel and are considering a trip somewhere with your loved one don’t hesitate to contact me, I would love to document it.
