St Peters Roman Catholic Church is a place I just recently photographed Arvine and Darlene’s wedding here and it was my first time shooting inside this church. I was able to capture beautiful moments from different angles for them with no issues.
As most Roman Catholic Church’s the only off limits area is stepping on the alter but I managed to work around that just fine. The lighting is a typical lighting situation with similar church’s that have no windows but it’s bright enough to make nice photos without using flashes.
The building itself does’t have anything unique or interesting for photos so we took off right after family pictures to our booked locations. Family pictures can be difficult with large groups of fifteen plus people as the space isn’t too large. Plus we we’re rushed right after the ceremony because they had a funeral that they were preparing the room for so just something to think about if you’re expecting family pictures inside to leave enough room with time especially as things can run behind.
The pastor was really nice and there was enough room for four videographers and two photographers to get the shots needed for this particular wedding.

Arvine and Darlene who now live in Alberta had a beautiful summer wedding here in Winnipeg. The day went perfectly as we hit up the legislature building, Fort Garry Hotel (outside), hamilton building and the exchange for their portraits just before the rain started to fall down. The reception was full of fun games and dances with live singing from a close friend. Enjoy these highlights!
