Shuja + Gul
Shuja and Gul chose the beautiful Gates On Roblin for their wedding venue and Nikah ceremony. This was a traditional Muslim wedding that celebrates the union of two people in the presence of God.
It was a gorgeous overcast day and these two were super exited to get married. Shuja started this wedding off with a bang as he rode on top of a SUV with smoke bombs as he arrived at the venue.
The ceremony took place in one of the venue’s elegant outdoor event spaces. Furthermore, it was decorated to the couple’s specifications with the help of their friends and family. Shuja and Gul planned their wedding themselves and had tons of support from friends and family. This could have been a really tough challenge as they both work full-time jobs. However, their friends came together and took on the majority of the tasks. This resulted in a stress free experience for them as they didn’t have anything to worry about. I’ve seen brides and grooms super stressed at the beginning of wedding receptions. This is because they have to worry about slideshows, decorations and a whole lot more. Delegating tasks is the key to planning weddings yourselves which will make your wedding more enjoyable.
During the ceremony, Shuja and Gul sat in front of their friends and family and exchanged vows, pledging their love and commitment to each other. The ceremony was officiated by a religious leader or imam, who guided the couple through the traditional rituals of the Nikah.
Wedding Ceremony
After the vows were exchanged, Shuja and Gul signed the marriage contract, known as a “Nikah nama,” which formalized their union. This was followed by a celebratory reception the next day at Whitetail Meadow. This is where guests enjoyed a delicious selection of Pakistani and Western-style food and drink and dance the night away.
Overall, Shuja and Gul’s Nikah wedding ceremony at The Gates On Roblin was a beautiful and memorable event. The venue’s expert staff and customizable event spaces made it the perfect choice for the couple, who wanted to celebrate their love in a traditional and meaningful way.
This Gates on Roblin wedding was full of tons of laughs and some tears. These two truly love each other and it shows evidently in these photos.
After the wedding ceremony we ended up doing some photos around the venue. We then met up later at sunset because we live close by each other and did some more portraits. This was a fun relaxing experience and they were totally up for more photos.
Whitetail Meadow Reception
We ended this wedding at Whitetail Meadow near Niverville, MB. This is a beautiful venue that I’ve photographed at quite bit lately. The speeches were fun and the performances were spectacular.
Their friends also got sparklers and fireworks from Arch Angel for the couple. We used some for some photos which was a lot of fun.
