Starlit Point Wedding: Tyler + Amanda
Amanda and Tyler’s wedding at Starlit Point was a beautiful marriage of two people who were meant to be. They got married right next to the red river which made for some amazing photos! The ceremony took place in the afternoon so we had plenty of time left over for portraits after the ceremony. It was perfect!
Amanda’s family is very close. It was obvious to everyone in attendance that they love each other so much! As soon as Amanda got into her dress her face lit up. I think it was the first time she fully understood that this day was really happening. The moment Amanda first saw her dad in the First Look pulled at my heartstrings. But when her grandpa and grandma saw her too, they did the same. And then again when they both arrived at the ceremony and saw Amanda walk down the aisle with her dad. These people love each other so much, and it was so obvious throughout the day!
This day was full of emotion because Tyler and Amanda lost two very important people to them. both within a couple of years before the wedding. Amanda’s mother and Tyler’s father had passed away and unfortunately covid delayed their wedding for 2 years as well. As you can imagine it was very emotional for the two and their families. However, Tyler and Amanda had them incorporated throughout their special day making their presence ever felt.
Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony was held in a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, which had been decorated with flowers. The officiant was a close family friend. As Tyler approached the altar, he teared up as he walked down the aisle with his mother and fathers ashes in his hands. Amanda’s mother’s chair sat a picture of Amanda’s late mother as well. After some emotional tears and hugs to the bridal party Tyler gave a hilarious speech in his vow which drew some laughs from everyone.
He stated a list of demands if here were to get married, which included allowing him to watch football with friends once a week and other privileges.
The weather for this day could not have been better for an outdoor wedding venue. It was sunny but not hot, and there were some beautiful clouds rolling in that gave us some nice light for their ceremony photos. After the couple said their I do’s, we wandered around Starlit Point for photos. The sky opened up for us at golden hour for breathtaking photos!
Wedding Portraits
After the ceremony wedding guests enjoyed cocktails outside the reception tent, as they watched the sun set in front of the river. Tyler and Amanda had a variety of games available for guests to play during cocktail hour. This included corn hole, jenga and kubb (a Swedish game with wooden blocks).
Congratulations, Amanda and Tyler! It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your beautiful wedding day at Starlit Point. We wish you all the happiness in the world and many years of love to come.
