This Whitetail Meadow tent reception finishes off the blog posts for what was a great week of celebrations and love. COVID receptions took a huge hit this year with social distancing so a lot of adjustments had to be made. With the year full of uncertainty, Whitetail Meadow wasn’t in the picture at first. However, they came through for Kulwant and Raman when they were scrambling to find alternatives for their wedding.
Like most couples this year, everyone was waiting on the news on what the government would allow for large gatherings. With the restrictions slowly relaxing Kulwant and Raman decided to go ahead with their wedding and reception.
Again please visit Part-1 and Part-2 if you haven’t seen the amazing photos and moments before this final day.

So the official rules for COVID were that there could be no gatherings larger than 100 people outside. With 200 guests, Kulwant and Raman had a problem. So with that said, they had 2 tent receptions that could be separated from each other full of 100 guests each.
The rules were that the guests could not go over to the other side in any way whatsoever. Furthermore, the two sides had their own entrances and each tent area was closed off. So how did the other tent take part in the festivities? Well, with large screens in each tent and someone relaying live video feed from the actions at all times.

After the wedding was over Kulwant and Raman met up with me and discussed their wedding experience. With everything that happened that year, they said that they couldn’t have dreamed of a better outcome. For example, the stress was tremendous because every couple was out there booking new venues as soon as the news came out for large gatherings. They also had to get permits and learn how to keep people safe during the event. Not to mention only inviting half of your wedding guests and not trying to piss people off.
With that said, the pro’s to all this is that they had a more intimate wedding experience with the people absolutely closest to them. For example, they had no one sitting around the edges or feeling left out. Being able to party and talk to everyone during this COVID reception was huge for them.
I hope you enjoyed these amazing wedding photos. Check out the next wedding!
