City Engagement shoot

This Winnipeg engagement shoot was my final one before I departed for Germany. Himath and Navi love to laugh and ever since our initial meeting I knew I needed to photograph them. I think we were laughing and joking the whole time during our meeting.

Fast forward to the city engagement shoot, it was fun and relaxed and really simple. We were hoping for some sun but it never came out and got dark pretty quickly. Luckily I had my flashes to give some light and warmth to some images. Cloudy days don’t mean we can’t make some sun : ) I also have some engagement tips for my couples in case it rains.

If you’re interested in Winnipeg engagement shoot locations, please contact me as I have a great list of them for you.

Winnipeg Engagement Shoot-1

A unique story from this Winnipeg engagement shoot is that a skateboarder we used for a shot at the Forks went to school with Himath. They went to elementary together and haven’t seen each other in years. It’s amazing how interconnected our lives can be and our different paths. I really appreciate him showing off some of his moves for one of the photos and helping Himath and Navi.

If you’re interested in seeing a cool destination shoot check out one from Bali.

The final engagement shot you will see in their highlights is getting quite a lot of attention on social media. We had a bit of sunset giving us a dramatic glowing scene that I knew we had to use right away. It was setting quickly but its what we were finally hoping for all day. At the end we finally got our sun, even if it was only just 5 minutes worth : )

Updated (2020) If you’d like to see their incredible wedding check it out here!
