Winnipeg Indian Wedding
Locations: RBC Convention Centre, Pipeline Gurdwara
Couple: Rob + Priya
This Winnipeg Indian Wedding had two beautiful wedding ceremonies on the same day. Rob and his family are from a Sikh religious background and Priya from Hindu. So we had two beautiful ceremonies in this set of photographs which was awesome!
Leading up to the day we had a few days of traditional ceremonies and celebrations. I’ll elaborate more in another article on the ceremonies but a few are mendhi ceremony, roka ceremony and Sangeets. They are filled with lots of partying afterwards and are so much fun if you haven’t experienced them yet.
A Winnipeg Indian Wedding is pretty much what you can expect from an Indian Wedding anywhere in North America. However back in the day, they used to be almost 2 weeks long in India full of way more traditions.
Rob and Priya were strangers when we first met but at the end of this wedding, we sure felt like family. I look forward to our continued friendship after this wedding.
It was a real pleasure capturing all the raw emotions this wedding had. My job is to try to capture the spirit of the wedding and the people in it and I hope you can feel the laughter, tears and excitement through these photos.

This wedding had it all. Events by Emma, you did an amazing job at transforming blank spaces into beautiful settings for a king and queen to get married in. Thanks to Baat Cheet films, it was a real pleasure working with you and also thanks to my bro Lucky for all your hard work. It’s always a good time.
Enjoy some of their highlights! If you’re looking for more Indian weddings you can go check out Alvin + Amanda
