Winnipeg baby bump photos – Kulwant + Raman
Becoming a Winnipeg maternity photographer didn’t happen overnight. On this journey as a wedding photographer there were a lot of things I didn’t see coming. I’ve also become a family and portrait photographer. With that said, I’ve also photographed newborns and pets. It’s amazing when one things leads to another and challenges you and opens up new worlds.
Kulwant and Raman hired me a few years back to be their wedding photographer. It was a beautiful outdoor tent wedding with a lively group of friends and family. You can see their wedding photos here. It was definitely a wedding to remember. Now fast forward to now.
These two are on a new journey that is so amazing, exciting and maybe a little bit scary too. These baby bump photos really show how excited they are thou. With that said, also how proud they are. They were really easy to photograph being in front of the camera already with me during their wedding. So this maternity session went super smooth.
Winnipeg Maternity Session
We started off at Birdshill Park and too be honest things didn’t look to good with the weather. However, I was confident with my flashes to be able to create something awesome for them. Furthermore, the nice clouds gave a beautiful soft light for this maternity session.
We got super lucky thou and with bad weather sometimes comes amazing skies and that’s what we got. The sun came out perfectly and created this magical mood as if it were in a movie.
I absolutely love how these pregnancy photos turned out. They are some of my favourite works to date and as a photographer you just wish to get skies like I did on that day.
Pregnancy Photos
Some of the key things to remember when you’re going to these photographs is obviously how far a long the pregnancy is. You’ll want to be showing a bump and that’s usually within a month or so of having the baby. With that said, what you wear also matters because that could hide your baby bump.
Some other keys to having great maternity photos are to bring a bag full of snacks and water. Staying energized and hydrated is very important. I also would recommend comfortable shoes and a location that doesn’t require lots of walking. The temperature also has to be perfect, the number one goal besides the photography is to be safe.
A lot of pregnant women can suffer from exhaustion and as your baby bump photographer safety is my first priority on the shoot.
With that said I have tips and advice in my resource section that applies to engagements that may be helpful. Here are some tips from another site that’s specifically to maternity’s.
