This exchange district engagement shoot took place with the temperature at a whopping 36 degrees. We started off in the exchange district and later made our way close by to the Forks. You can see the point of the bridge in one of the photos. They’re a great place to do engagement shoots because of the variety. You have trees and architecture plus the proximity makes for less travel.
Engagement sessions are a great way to get to know each other better and to get comfortable in front of the camera. It’s totally fun and relaxed. Just make sure you’re prepared and I have some great tips for engagement shoot to help you. Here are some Tips I used to help with their shoot. On a hot Manitoba day you can expect mosquitos and we were prepared plus extra water and snacks definitely made the shoot a lot easier.
I love the first image the most and the ones of them laughing probably describe them the best. They were so easy going and I’m pretty sure I’m not that funny but there was a lot of laughs. The image with the dog running across is something I’ve been trying to do more of. Including other people and the surrounding area to make things more interesting and not just about them.
I’d say the potential for exchange district engagement shoots are limitless. You have tons of options and I can’t wait to explore a little bit more to see if I can come up with anything new next season.
Mike and Jenny you guys really shined in front of the camera and I’m really looking forward to their big day which will probably be just as hot in July as it was on this day.
On a +36 Manitoba summer day these two rocked it. Enjoy the images : )
