This was a spectacular day! It was an early start and although non of us slept the night before we were ready. I had trouble sleeping for the last couple days leading up to this wedding and maybe I was just excited/nervous about this wedding being my last one of the year I don’t know. With caffeine in my system and adrenaline pumping I took off from my home to Karen’s hotel room where the girls were getting ready. It was a beautiful day to get married. A December wedding with the sun blazing down on us the entire day and with such a relaxed timeline we made the best of every opportunity. With the ceremony ending just in time we ran out to catch the dying sun outside Bridges Golf Course. This was an emotional day for most as Karen’s father had recently passed away and although he wasn’t physically there he was there in spirit and in the hearts of the people that knew him. We visited him before the ceremony and Karen’s brothers danced in his place with her. This wedding was much about family as it was about Karen and David. By the end of the night I took them outside for a final photograph under the stars and without us knowing the northern lights decided to show themselves as you’ll see at the end of this post. Whatever they meant on this day I’ll never know but it’s only fitting that this happened on this day with the circumstances with Karen’s father. At least that’s the way I took it. This wedding was the perfect end to my 2015. I hope you enjoy these highlights as we tried our very best to capture all the genuine moments that unfolded.
