Part -1 of Kulwant and Raman’s wedding starts with their Sangeet/Maiyan/Jaggo.
These pre-wedding events took place in the back yard tents at both houses. They had their wedding party outside each home with a guest count and hand sanitizers ready to disinfect and keep track of the number of people. Armed with rules and regulations Kulwant and Raman were on top of things to make sure this event followed all the rules that COVID gave our weddings in 2020.
With that said you can see the Province of Manitoba Guidelines here if you’re interested.
Just like most weddings in 2020 their wedding almost didn’t happen. With so many hurdles, such as the limited amount of guests indoors or outdoors they decided to go ahead with their beautiful wedding. They had to scramble and replan everything according to all the restrictions Covid-19 gave us.
All the vendors that were apart of this incredible wedding did such an amazing job to make their dream come true. For example, the Sturgeon gurdwara had their first tent wedding outdoors to accommodate more guests.
White Tail Meadow also had a tent set up for 2020 weddings with two sections that kept people apart but with video coverage displayed on big screens, everyone was still able to take part in the celebrations.
Sangeet, Maiyan, Mehndi, Jaggo
2020 might of been a tough year but Kulwant and Raman were one of the few that said F-You COVID. They threw an awesome wedding that gave us a great highlight on such a strange year.
The bridal party and families were both awesome to deal with and such a pleasure to get to know. They were a huge reason why this wedding was such a success. For instance, with the limited amount of people attending weddings, the vibe has been more a connected one. Everyone knows each other well and the joy and celebration are amplified.
These Indian pre-wedding events include the Sangeet, Jaggo, Maiyan, and also the Mehndi. I hope you enjoy Part-1 now go ahead and jump on over to Part-2
