So am I living the dream of being a Winnipeg elopement photographer? Well in this case I was. I was extremely fortunate enough to photograph this amazing couple in Bali for a couple of reasons. First off it’s Bali and it’s so beautiful but even more important than that it’s their story. They met in Bali exactly two years ago and they have been together long distance so this was a very special place for them and time in their lives to revisit the place they met.
We started off from Ubud on our scooters to the first of a few waterfalls that day. It took about an hour to get there or seemed like forever but we started really early and were the only ones in this beautiful cave where this waterfall came down in. It was out of this world and so amazing to experience. Here’s a quick video.

We found another waterfall not too far from the first but just opened up for visitors and again there was no one there. It was not much of a waterfall and we thought this is why no one was there. We trekked through a stream and cave to get to it and were a little disappointed. I did manage to make the first image there, trying to make the best of the situation.
A local said we weren’t finished and guided us in the opposite way from where we started and it took a while to get there but it was absolutely worth it. Here’s another video
I have to clarify that these two are not in the process of getting married yet but quit their jobs to travel the world together and are on a seven-month journey. They will figure everything out after they said and are just living their best lives together. How inspiring is that?
As I write this they are still out there traveling, exploring, and enjoying life to the fullest.
We hung out for a couple of days until I had to head to the Philippines next. You can see that story soon along with another amazing couple in Bali.

Being an elopement photographer from the small town of Winnipeg is incredible. We have cold winters and short summers so it’s a great option for couples. It’s also very budget-friendly.
I’m almost back to Canada ready to kick off the wedding season again fresh and full of beautiful memories of shooting in these beautiful countries.
Enjoy their waterfall pics!
