This Niverville Heritage Centre Wedding had two ceremonies to represent both backgrounds. This will be part 1 because they had their reception at Whitetail Meadow on day 2. Sadly it was the last wedding of the year for me but it couldn’t have been any better. Wajihah and Jason were awesome and their friends and family were incredible. I absolutely love the photos and memories I was able to capture or create for them.
You can fast forward to their reception here.
Wajihah and Jason met me through Rob and Priya. A couple I photographed a year before and who have become good friends since. Also, another wedding that rocked. You can see it here: WEDDING

Wajihah looked like a princess out of a fairytale and Jason reminded me of James Bond. With that said they’re truly down to earth people. They act like best friends all the time joking and laughing together. Something I picked up from shooting all these weddings is that there is a similar component with all of them. Most of my couples love to joke and laugh a lot with each other. I think a sense of humour plays a huge role in relationships and these two definitely have it.
The Niverville Heritage Centre made for a perfect two wedding ceremony venue. Wajihah and Jason had this beautiful flower wall decorated on one side of the room. This is where the first ceremony took place that represented the brides background. The second ceremony took place on the staircase on the opposite side. With a quick wardrobe change and turning the chairs around they had a completely different set up for the traditional ceremony.
The stair case at the Niverville Heritage Centre is the focal point for a wedding at this venue. Wajihah looked amazing when she came down those stairs like cinderella with everyone drawn to her with their cameras.

Jason’s friends and family definitely had a blast with this Fusion wedding ( mixed cultural wedding ). It’s traditional for the groom to show up to the wedding ceremony with his entourage dancing and celebrating. With smoke bombs ready Jason pulled up to his wedding at the Niverville Heritage Centre sitting on top of a Camaro with his friends dancing away.
Soon after that they were greeted by the brides family and started the Milni ( family introductions ). Jason wasn’t getting into the ceremony that easy thou. The bridesmaids had a few contests prepared that Jason had to complete to get it. The first contest was of a arm wrestling contests with someone at the wedding. I remember seeing a big ripped 6 foot 3 inch man taking his jacket off behind the ladies. It was a hilarious moment.
After completing some dance and song challenges they finally allowed the groom in to his wedding to get the formal ceremonies started.
